Great experience. Very expensive. With tip it was $600 for three of us. We had a 5:30 reservation and the sled left right on time which we appreciated. Leaving at 5:30 , the sun was still up and it was absolutely beautiful on the way up. On the way down there was a full moon which illuminated the mountains, which ,again, was beautiful. The server was great. The soup was delicious. I didn't care for the choice of salads. I am not a fan of beets, carrots or kale. I got the kale salad and it was just okay. I would have preferred a choice of a lettuce salad. My teen had no problem getting an adult sized portion of the fresh fruit from the kid's menu. It was fresh and very good. I ordered the oyster appetizer. It was not very good at all. It had a very fishy taste and a strange texture . The oyster itself was very tiny. There were three on the plate and my husband tasted one . He agreed that it was just not good at all. He had the tuna poke appetizer which he enjoyed. My teen daughter had the pork belly appetizer and it was absolutely out of this world. She let each of us have a taste and we both wished we had gotten that one. She also loved it. For the entrées we had a filet of beef, a venison and a pork porterhouse. Our daughter was able to get a different side with her beef with no problem. The venison and the beef were both ordered medium and when the food came out, both the beef and venison were more of a medium rare. The beef especially was purple in the middle and that very loose texture . So we asked the server to have them cooked a little more, to bring them up to medium, and it was done in a timely manner. All three entrées were absolutely fantastic. The desserts that we ordered were the cheesecake and the apple pie. The cheesecake was good. The apple pie was just okay. Before we went back down, we sat in the rocking chairs in front of the fire waiting for a sled to arrive. Overall, the entire experience was memorable . We truly enjoyed our evening and would definitely do it again the next time we are there in Beaver Creek.
