I used Checkmate Moving and Storage to move from Colorado to another state. Everyone at Checkmate was terrific to work with from the packing/moving quote, to the packers and the moving crew. I packed some of my belongings myself and had Checkmate pack what was left. At one point I spoke to Barrett about needing picture boxes and I must have sounded stressed because she was so kind on the phone and reassured me not to worry, that their packers would take care of it. The packers were amazingly efficient and in observing how they worked together and their conversation, it was obvious they enjoyed their job and really liked working together. The moving crew on both ends were terrific. Since the move was out of state, Tom was very considerate in keeping in touch with me, letting me know when they were leaving Colorado and when they expected to arrive in my new state. Tom even gave "interior designing" advise on how to arrange my furniture in my new home :-). I cannot say enough good things about Checkmate Moving and Storage. They are a family owned business and it is refreshing to conduct business with a company who is not all "corporate" and cold ... it felt more like I had friends and neighbors helping me. Thank you, Checkmate, for making my move such a pleasant experience!
