Bad experience. Cocky undeskilled installers, over priced equipment. Inferior installation and installation components. I scheduled an appointment to get 2 pairs of Focal speakers installed and a Alpine 5 channel amp. When I made the appointment they knew that I was going to wait on site. They told me that it would be 2 hours. Not only were they late to open the store that morning but they took 6 hours to do the instal and were joking around and doing lots of other things in the shop and not focusing on my installation job at all. My scheduled install appointment clearly was not the priority to them. The instal and purchase was supposed to include the installation of the purchased speakers and amplifier as well as the shop supplies used for the install. They charged me $46 for off the shelf small gauge low quality speaker wire. Thats more than $1.50 per foot. The same amount of the same speaker wire in any store is about $6. They also used very cheap components and electrical splitters and supplies that were much lower quality than the high quality yet overpriced equipment that I purchased. I purchased premium sound equipment and they used the lowest grade, cheapest supplies to install it. We are about 75 miles from Denver so I did expect to pay a premium for not having to drive to Denver and have a local shop do my instal. They completely took advantage and overcharged me for everything and did a very poor job of the instal. I feel totally ripped off as they overcharged me for the speakers and amplifier by way too much and they charged me far too much for the installation supplies that were supposed to be included. Those installation supplies were the cheapest available and very much sub standard. I would not recommend using them ever. Drive to Denver and get the right stereo equipment for a reasonable price and have it installed by detail and quality oriented professional people, not Custom Audio. It was a bad experience and I will never use them again and I will tell everyone I know not to use them. I took my vehicle to Denver to a very highly rated car audio shop to do more work on 2 of my vehicles. I am very happy with them and the service and equipment. When they looked at the work that Custom Audio in Silverthorne did they said that it looked like it was installed by children and the installation wiring and components that they used was cheap junk. Do not use Custom Audio in Silvethorne, you will regret it.
