I booked an SUV, Santa Fe(Hyundai), and happily received that exact car.
It was very new and a real joy to drive through the natl parks in Utah.
Grand Junction, CO is easy and quick for flying and car rentals.
Tiny airport, similar but smaller than Tyler, TX for example.
No long walks or shuttle bus rides to get your rental car.
I don't know what happens when demand is high, since the pool or inventory might be small. So I don't know what would happen then.
