Ben and his team at American Drywall recently re-textured the entire interior of our 32 year old home. This home had several areas where the drywall was patched: large patched re-textured areas from repairs and remodeling, drywall seams, nail patch marks, etc. General condition of the drywall was about a 5/10 scale.
We contracted with Ben and his team at American Drywall to re-texture the entire home with a level 5 smooth finish, ceilings with a custom hand trowel knock-down texture. The bid included 3 coats of drywall compound with a final sand.
After 3 coats the project was not satisfactory by our standards and Ben's own quality control. The project took 5 coats of hand trawling and 2 sanding to achieve a level 5 smooth finish. This home now has a drywall that looks "factory new."
American Drywall completed this project per the original bid, even though it took an extra 2 coats of drywall compound, extra sanding, and additional 2-weeks.
We toured a large medical facility that American Drywall was completing in Lafayette Area before selecting them to do our home. We received the same quality that we found on their new construction.
