When it's Christmas and there isn't much time (and you're stuck in an unfamiliar place) last minute stocking stuffers can be hard to come by. So here I was the day before Christmas and at the Family Dollar Store - I couldn't have been more excited. I love the thrill of the hunt, particularly in dollar stores. Disclosure: I do not typically shop on Christmas Eve because I feel that stores should be closed on that day. This store was of a good size and had a slammin' sale aisle. Yes, you heard right "sale aisle", not "sale rack." The staff were cheerful and friendly which took me aback as it was not only freezing outside but it was easing into the evening on a Christmas Eve. Though we weren't in the market for it there were lots of great choices for personal items (toothpaste, bodywash, etc.). Interesting and strange snacks delight was also in full effect - my favorite being the "Cinnamon Sugar Puffs" Sweetos (by the makers of Cheetos). In hindsight I wish we had given these a try. With hair ties and other little goodies we were out of the store having spent less than $15, not too bad. Will definitely stop into this store the next time I am in town. Who know's what they'll have next.
Great place to stop and grab quick drinks and snacks for our camping trips.
