I love these guys! And the gals just as much! I had been stashing bits of cash for quite some time with the idea of being able to finally buy my wife a worthy wedding ring. It happens that she manages all of our income and while this has been one way of achieving 30 years of marriage (tomorrow on Valentine's Day, 2018), it has not been good for covertly acquiring a diamond ring. First I needed help knowing that I was ready and had enough $$ to make it happen and then I needed to believe that I could match my intention with something the Jewelry Exchange could offer.
From the moment I entered the JE, Inez managed the first need of feeling ready and able as if she had been "reading my mail". I left and spent 2 weeks plotting how to put a couple of resources in my wallet and then in the JE bank. Unfortunately, I started to chicken out. During that 2 weeks the Valentine's Day advertisements from the chain stores started getting thick on the TV and I started sniffing them out online and was encouraged. Before visiting any of the "big boys" I wanted to revisit the JE first, mostly because of how I felt treated by Inez and indirectly, other folks there.
Once back at the JE, I was met and assisted by Betty. I'm almost embarrassed by how easily she fixed me up with band, setting and diamond that I would be more than happy with, but more importantly, would suit my wife perfectly. At this point, I asked the Manager, Steve to please talk to me about the stone. Steve replied by picking it up with his large tweezers, backed away several feet and pointed the head of the diamond in my direction. He called my attention to the sparkle and I asked where to sign.
At this point, a Supervisor named Richard took over to work on selecting the best fitting crown and scheduling the work. He worked with me on scheduling so that I could have the ring in time for the only shared day off for my wife and I and I was able to arrange for the carefully orchestrated surprise delivery that I had in mind. I can't emphasize enough that the timing was critical and Richard heard me and I really knew that he made some effort to make it happen. Not only that, although I felt that I had become an anxious pest, he never made me feel like anything other than a welcome guest in his place and a partner in a project.
I am really grateful for this entire experience and I feel affirmed in the intuition that told me that I was in the right place from the first visit.
I can't thank them enough!
