I was connected to Lauren through Connect for Health Colorado on Sept. 12th, 2017. Long story short, she promised 2017 coverage beginning Oct. 1st 2017 (when I left work with my second child). I went to her for help understanding all of my options. I was given the green light to continue seeing my/my husbands mental health specialists. We never recieved our cards (even though she said she was working on it). She assured me multiple times that they would be able to back-date the effective date to Oct. 1st. I was informed me in December that "She couldn't help me with insurance coverage for 2017". Throughout the 2 1/2 months my family didn't have coverage I had to cancel mutliple physical health appointments, my husband wasn't able to go to the doctor for his hypertension, his yearly checkup, as well as the ER , AND we now have multiple bills due for our mental health specialists since they will no longer be able to process our visits through our insurance that was promised. We also have paid over $750 for supplemental insurance that was completely useless since we didn't have a primary insurance in place.
I began working with a different broker this week and found out that not only was she completely incapable of getting me insurance, but she blamed the problem on everyone else (which I found out was all lies) AND COMPLETELY RIPPED ME OFF. She sold me the worst coverage with over $250 in supplemental insurance I didn't even need (so she would make the most commission possible). I now have MUCH better insurance for half the cost. Do yourself a favor, avoid this office at all costs, you'll save yourself a lot of time, money and I'm sure you can find someone who actually cares about you and your needs.
