Insure Fire & Water Restoration

This company is very shady. I had water damage caused by a refrigerator leak. They came and placed fans - but did not remove the damaged flooring. They told me they could wait to do it until they started the repair. When I questioned them about possible mold - their response was that they would take care of any problems. This did cause some mold in my house. They lied to my insurance and told the insurance that I told them not to remove the flooring. They told me that when they removed my granite - that it would most likely break and that I needed to get new granite. They ordered the granite - and I picked it out. When the deal feel through - they cancelled the granite. I was able to save the order - but now they are telling my insurance that I placed the order - my insurance will not cover the charge I paid - because the granite did not break when the new company removed it. The granite cannot be returned - because it was already in production. When I tried to get a detailed cost for the repairs - they would not give me a detailed cost. Told me if they gave me a detailed cost that it would be more then what my insurance would cover - and would I be willing to pay the extra cost. They were concerned that I planned to stay at my house while they were doing the repairs. My insurance company paid to have my entire flooring replaced - they decided to only replace a section of the flooring. They wanted to put cheaper material in my house then what I originally had. Kept referring that the wood they were bringing in was 'expensive' wood. However, it is the same type of wood that I currently have in my house. They then said that my insurance does not cover the entire cost and asked me for additional money. I did not have them complete the work on my house because of all the shady behavior. The insurance adjuster referred this company to me - he also called them after they told me that they do not work in the city I live and told them that they should take the job because it was 'big money'. I believe there was some type of insurance fraud going on. Because of all of this I have had to pay several thousand out of my own pocket after insurance. I would highly recommend that anyone needing this service not use this company.
