I love Red Rocks, they are amazing. Krystal helped me so quickly and kindly I need to mention her specifically. In minutes, she was able to fix something for me I would have needed to wait forever for if I had gone elsewhere. Dr. G is also so compassionate and understanding. I have no idea how they do what they do for such great prices, but I recommend Red Rocks Animal Center to anyone and everyone!
We booked an appointment with them at 2:00 PM today to see my two dogs for a check-up and shots. This has taken about 30 minutes in the past as Dr. G has been my vet for over 5 years. We were able to see a vet tech for a good ten minutes at around 2:45 PM. We gave him a detailed account of our chief complaints and advised him of why we were there. We then waited for an additional 20-30 minutes for the doctor to come in. We eventually did see Dr. K. Unfortunately, this veterinarian did not seem to have read their charts prior to coming to visit with us, despite the long wait time. She then could not get either the sex or the names right for either of our dogs after correcting her a few times. She also failed to examine my dog's eyes at our initial screening, until after we mentioned it repeatedly. She did examine her eyes as we were on our way out, but this level of patient care and lack of attention to detail was very concerning for me. I have been going to this office since they were at their old location. I have always received great service and felt like Dr. G. cared about our animals. This time, it felt like money was the most important factor for Dr. K. We were there for over two hours for a checkup and shots and some blood work. Turns out my dog needs to be hospitalized from what I was told. I expressed how I felt to the receptionist when she called me back about the blood work and asked if I could have a referral to another office. She gave me two office's names, but then told me I needed to wait for a few days for the test results to be posted when I asked about her medical record. Again, this is distressing as if it was of the utmost importance to get my dog in the hospital, you would think they would work on getting the Test results posted a little quicker. At this point, I don't feel comfortable sending a loved one to a doctor that can't even get her name or age correct. I am going to take my dog to a different facility today for a second opinion, and hopefully, a provider that at least pretends to care.
