If you are planning your vacation in Granby Ranch using Mountainside property, please, think twice. Here is our story... My family and I rented a unit for a 7-day vacation. After the first almost sleepless night we found out that this unit has a master bedroom right below a huge Jacuzzi in a unit directly above. This Jacuzzi works non-stop and produces horrible electrical humming noise. When you put your head on a pillow it feels like a washer is working right next to your head. We cannot sleep with this noise. We contacted our renter and described the situation. He said that it had to be off after 10 pm and assumed that hot tub was left on when the previous tenants above us moved out. He also, recommended that we contact the manager group. Omitting the details of unsuccessful contact with the emergency services over night, we talked to these "managers" in person the next day. Here is the summary of our conversation: 1. They were trying to pretend that they did not get any information related to this issue (we were calling all night long). 2. They insisted that this situation was normal and we were not reasonable trying to protect our right to sleep in appropriate conditions. 3. For our request to turn off the hot tub after 10 pm we got an answer that it would work 24 hours even though the unit is not occupied until the next week. 4. The level of noise was acceptable according to these two persons in the manager office. 5. Per our request to get a written report/statement of our emergency service request with explanations, they refused. 6. Per our request to provide us with information about the "acceptable level of noise" produced by any hot tub after hours, they refused because they never measured it (per one of the persons in the manager office). 7. Per our request to introduce themselves, they refused to provide their names. 8. When we said that we would call the Police, the managers replied " you are welcome" and looked like they could care less about the situation as a whole. As a result: We felt depressed and discriminated! Our 7-day vacation was ruined. Nobody tried to protect our right to receive an appropriate service/help in the case of emergency (try not being able to sleep for a few days in a row!) and our right to rest in appropriate conditions during the quiet hours.
