Roxborough State Park

This place is fantastic! Beatiful saw-tooth sandstone rock formations, amidst gentle, rolling hills and scrub-oak micro forests. In a few hours we saw numerous birds ranging from hummingbirds, chickadees, spotted toehee, and scrub Jays to vultures, and a high-soaring eagle. Also, several deer! Outstanding time, but make sure to arrive early, or you'll have to wait in line, as entry is controlled, and there's a set limit to the number of vehicles in the park. $7/day, or have the $70 annual CO parks permit.
