Incredibly disappointed with my first experience with Stevinson Lexus of Lakewood. I was one of the many affected by the brutal hail storm in May and needed to replace my totaled car in a short period of time. With the rental car situation in the metro area non-existent, my only option was to buy a new/used car. I found a beautiful CPO Acura TL, the dealership worked with me on good price for the vehicle and said that they would cover the cost of repair for any safety related damage caused by the hail. (windshield, Headlights, Taillights, etc.) Upon financing the vehicle a, WE OWE/YOU OWE contract stating that that they would replace the windshield, and rear taillight within 30 days of the sale. My windshield was replaced before I took possession of the vehicle and was told that the taillight housing had been ordered and that I would be notified by the service department when they received the part and would schedule an appointment to install it. I contacted the Salesman who wrote the contract twice within the 30 days only to be told "I will keep you informed as soon as I hear," when I inquired about the status of my part. Over the next 2 months I spoke with the service department twice who supposedly verified that salesman knew about the outstanding part for my car and that he would call me as soon as he had a chance. I received no phone call or follow up email despite leaving 2 points of contact. I have had to pull the taillight housing 3 times since purchasing the car, just to replace the $1.99 bulb so that I don’t risk a traffic violation, or worse. It really shouldn’t be that hard for a dealership to get a hold of a part that retails for $179, and I readily available. Overall, I would some up my only experience with Stevinson as poor and disappointing from the 4-hour sales process down to the now 3-month, one-way communication regarding a taillight housing that from my experience takes 5-10 minutes to replace. At this point I would rather you just send me the part and I will do the work myself.
SEXUAL DISCRIMINATION over contract, title and financial issues. Application was filled out with Jessica primary and me cosigner or secondary as this was to be her car. We made this very clear it was hers and all information was to be in her name or jointly with her on top. Finance manager/ person kept speaking to me not my wife about questions on the financing and upgrades, extras etc. Continually we redirected him to ask my wife but he kept only speaking to me as if he didn't want to deal with a woman or didn't think she was worth his time. We requested to have the paperwork redone he presented as it didn't have the sequence as we filled out in our application and he said it doesn't matter as we both will be on car paperwork. Registration, billing and all correspondence ONLY is in Mark's name as if Jessica never was there. This we feel is a continued discrimination towards Jessica as she is a woman and wife based on the treatment we had in the finance office. After trying to work a solution with General Manager Johnson at the dealership, the only solution he had was to reapply and go through credit check again and the such. This isn't our problem it is theirs and their sexist finance dept. Their mistreatment of women shouldn't make us have to take more inquiries on our credit report to correct their failures! NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS HERE AND NOT AN ETHICAL DEALERSHIP
