I went into payless with my fiance to buy him a new pair of casual dress shoes for his new job. We were excited to look at the different types you carried and I enjoyed watching him try them on. We also wanted to buy socks and other accessories for his new job. There was a girl, flutterly looking, long Brown hair with a long lace over jacket, with glasses on who worked there. There was also a heavier set gentlemen as well wearing a blue checkered shirt who seemed to be in charge. Normally we get asked if we need help just like any other customer service situation, and I've been in customer service/retail for 10+ years. So this was fine. Up until we started being followed by the employees. The girl asked if we needed help 2 times while watching us from afar, pretending to organize. Then the man in the blue asked if we needed help, I assumed he just came on or didn't see us when we walked in. We calmly stated no and went back to what we were doing. Until I noticed he was doing the same as her. Constantly watching us. From aisle to aisle I was followed when I went to women's size 8 to see what sandals you had on sale. She pretended to fix boxes of shoes and watched me very obviously. I do not understand why we were being treated this way. We came in to buy shoes and accessories not be treated like miscreants. On our way to the front; because we couldn't stand being in there anymore and didn't even purchase the accessories or sandals I wanted, we caught the brown haired girl watching my fiance and I very obvious while following behind us making sure we made it to the front register. We do not appreciate this. If this is a company that only lives by being rude, creepy, stralky, and untrustworthy of their customers then I have no idea how you have survived. You DO NOT treat your customers that way what so ever. We will never be coming back. This is utterly ridiculous and we should never have felt so alienated in our entire lives.
