We called Peak Appliance to work on our refrigerator. Our original phone call was very pleasant. They were able to get a tech out within a few days. Our refrigerator was not cooling, as the unit was freezing between the freezer and refrigerator. When he got to the house, he was angry that we had wasted his time since the freezer had frozen again and he was not able to work on the appliance. When we told him, we didn’t know it had frozen, he was irritated and made sure we knew it. I was unsure how we had wasted his time—since we were paying. We scheduled a 2nd visit and assured him we would correct our “ignorance”. When we called the office to talk about our situation, we were told “he’s good at his job, so we tell our customers to ignore his harsh remarks”. Really??? I guess being treated with respect as a customer isn’t their priority. ☹ We made multiple credit card payments, 1 for the trip fee, 1 for parts and another for labor and parts. We were originally told any trip charge would be credited back to us, if we used their service to repair the refrigerator. When everything was complete, we realized we had paid OVER $100 more than we were invoiced. When I called Brian to get the amount credited, I was told he would increase the invoices to match what I had paid. He also said he needed to add a trip fee, when I asked about the information we were given about the trip fee being waived/credited if we used their service; he did not respond. I am not sure why they think it is appropriate to increase their invoice because they charged my credit card too much. In trying to get resolution on this, I got no response to multiple emails to the company. I should have paid closer attention to the reviews. Reviews talk about being overcharged and Peak Appliance being hard to get resolution on work done and payments. Several reviews used the term “dishonest” … interesting. Let me say, they did fix my appliance, however, I paid more than I was quoted and more than I was billed, and they were a major challenge to work with. I am glad that some customers have had positive experiences... that was not ours. I really wanted to like this company, our experience just didn't allow for a positive review. Not sure how I feel about the "F" on BBB website.
