Denver Police District 2

The police, in responding to a very loud 4th of July celebration behind my house, did nothing to confiscate fireworks, claiming they didn't see any, and refused to talk to me when I offered to show them pictures. They also witnessed me being threatened and racially harassed and so nothing. After they left the scene, the fireworks resumed. I called the police and they said they returned, but I never heard the fireworks stop. I called in to file a complaint and the police essentially told me all the reasons I couldn't file a complaint. Even though they witnessed the area being swept and I had videos of the people firing them, they did everything they could to dissuade me from filing. I can file a complaint against the person living on the property for aiding and abetting, but I guess these policemen don't know that. I understand that there were no citations issued for fireworks in Denver even though disturbing the peace and quiet enjoyment ordinances were rife throughout my area of the city, within blocks of the station house.
