My brother and I took our dad here for Father's Day brunch. We had no idea that they have "Holiday Pricing" which is 2x the normal price for each person, at $50 a person! I didn't see this anywhere listed on the website when I made the reservation, nor did anyone at the restaurant inform us of this until we received the bill. Also, there was nothing special about the food selection that is any different from any other Sunday brunch at Simm's. If you are going to charge $50 a person, at least provide a different food selection that would suffice. I would have happily paid $25 a person for the food that was available, but charging 2x as much for a holiday is insane. On top of that, my brother had asked our waiter 3 times for melted butter for his crab legs. The waiter never brought the butter and only apologized once he saw that my brother had finished eating the crab legs without the butter. We could've gone somewhere else with much better service at $50 for the three of us, not per each person! $190 brunch for mediocre food and poor service, I won't be back.
Visiting from out of town. Took an Uber to Simms. Almost went elsewhere due to their already low reviews, and should have listened. It didn't occur to me to check the closing time, because any serious fine dining restaurant would not possibly close before 10. Got there at 9, were seated outside, then told we couldn't order food, because the grill had been turned off. Are you kidding? It wasn't even dark and this place was shut down. I managed restaurants and my staff knew we would seat after closing if necessary. Not only seat, but make the customer feel welcome. Ridiculous, don't go. Just another bad review. Before long, they can close at 6, or just not open at all.
