Made an appointment with the branch manager to sign some important and time sensitive papers with the notary and a witness. I was very clear when I made the appointment that I needed the notary and a witness to be present. The branch manager confirmed those services were available on a walk in basis but she went ahead an made an appointment to ensure staff was available when I arrived. Even though I didn't have any requirements on a 3rd party witness she indicated their policy was that only assigned staff could be a witness and she herself would be working the day of the appointment and would ensure she return from lunch before 2pm to be a witness and another staff member would be the notary. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment and was told the notary and the branch manager were not at the bank yet. Another girl who was also a notary was able to notarize but the branch manager was the only person authorized to be a witness and she was not back at the bank yet. She was due back but they did not have an ETA. They tried to call and text her but were unable to reach her. We waited for a total of 35 or more minutes and the branch manager still was not present.
